[This is basically a stealth mission. He's putting what he's learned at home dodging roving murderous gangs to use trying to sneak up behind Dankovsky, attach a sticker, and ghost away. It's a sticker of Makoto's face with a speech bubble that says "WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER".
Makoto would want him to give these stickers to everyone. He's trying to be good. So Dankovsky gets a sticker, too, even if he chose it passive aggressively.
(Makoto would absolutely not want him to give these stickers to anyone.)]
Of course Dankovsky assumes it's from Makoto and also thinks that it's a gesture of goodwill from his friend. Once he figures out the function of a sticker, that it's decorative and all, he preserves said sticker in his notebook and makes a note to thank Makoto for the gift later on.
